Installed a trackman golf simulator in my house and had Waterloo do the turf. Colter is the owner and he is very professional. I dealt with him the whole way and we installed several different types of turf. He was extrememly knowledgable. I was very specific on the putting green speed and the hitting areas for the simulator. Colter worked to make it all happen. Very ethical and straight shooter. I would use them again and couldn't be happier.

Fantastic job. Colter’s team was efficient and professional. They were able to start on the project within a week and with a 5-6 person crew, it was finished in 3 days.

A detailed review follows, but bottom line up front - your search for turf in DFW should end with Waterloo.
If you’re reading this and all the other five star reviews, you’re probably thinking the same thing I did a few months ago: Colter and his team sound too good to be true. Let me assure you, they are the real deal!
From start to finish, my experience with Waterloo exceeded all expectations. My first interaction was with Thomas, who showed up on time, professionally dressed, and eager to learn about my vision.
Within hours of walking through my backyard, I had multiple quotes detailing the various options and scopes we discussed. Thomas was detailed, but not at all pushy, and gave me the time and space needed to make an informed decision.
After a few phone calls and texts, we decided to move forward with installing turf through the remainder of our backyard - complimenting an existing turf project and retaining wall centered around a play-set.
In the days leading up to install, Thomas clearly communicated timelines and managed our expectations allowing us to hit the ground running. A storm delayed the start by a day, but Thomas was proactive and communicated the weather delay early. He even showed up in the rain to personally offload supplies from the delivery truck to help keep the project on timeline.
On install day Waterloo’s crew showed up on time and ready to work. Thomas introduced me to the team lead, Diana, who was incredible and extremely detail oriented. Waterloo’s owner, Colter, was on site for introductions and frequently stopped by throughout to ensure things were running smoothly and all questions were answered. It’s clear he takes pride and personal ownership in the work his crew produces.
Our goals for this project were to address drainage issues on the side of our house and reclaim almost a third of the yard an aggressive slope rendered unusable. Diana’s crew regraded our yard and provided creative solutions to salvage an existing drainage project done by another company. Diana and Christian consulted with me several times, clearly communicating pros and cons of various options to address the drainage issues.
By the end of the first day, the crew completely regraded our yard, laid two truck loads of sub base, and compacted a perfectly smooth surface across over 2,200 sq ft. Within the first few hours of work, Diana’s attention to detail and personal pride in the job she led became obvious and I never felt like a customer holding the crew up from their next job site.
Waterloo sets the tone early, the entire team is there to provide a quality service they’re all willing to put their names behind.
Day two began with the crew on time again. Colter and Thomas were close behind, offering quality assurance in addition to the detailed oversight Diana and Christian provided. At no time was I left to doubt the quality of install. The crew of 6 worked fast, but meticulously, and had install complete by 7pm on day two. Their attention to detail included carefully cutting around existing irrigation, chiseling edges of concrete to achieve perfect borders, and wrapping turf along the fence line to hide any visible bender board.
The team went above and beyond to leave the job site better than they found it and even provided a maintenance service to the existing turf installed by another company.
Overall, I can’t recommend Waterloo Fort Worth anymore enthusiastically. From top to bottom, Colter runs a fantastic operation that delivers a premium product supported by uncommon attention to detail and customer service.
Waterloo did a fantastic job completing our backyard, we look forward to enjoying our Saturdays for years to come!

Disclaimer: I don’t have turf installed by Waterloo, but I did consult their owner about issues with a previous installation. He took my call immediately, connected with other industry professionals, and provided thoughtful insight and a remediation plan. That level of responsiveness and customer service speaks volumes. Based on that interaction alone, I’m confident Waterloo is an excellent option for anyone considering a turf installer. Don’t hesitate to give them a call!

Waterloo did a terrific job replacing our patch of dying grass. The result looks terrific and our dog loves it.
The project manager, Colter, was fantastic to work with. Very helpful, knowledgeable and professional, he could not have done anything more for us than he did. The installation crew was excellent and the cleanup made it look like they had never been here. I can’t imagine any other turf company doing it any better than Waterloo did.

Colter was great with describing the installation process and offering ideas to make my backyard area around the pool beautiful and low maintenance. It's been a couple of months now and I am delighted with the results! I had 3 companies come in and advise and quote. Waterloo was by far the most informative and helpful visit. Any of the concerns I had have vanished and their price was very competitive. The installation crew was great and any concerns during installation were brought to my attention to discuss and they listened to what I wanted. It looks great, no more dust or weeds. My dog loves it too.

Waterloo just installed Turf in our backyard & it looks amazing! I’m really looking forward to less yard maintenance & no muddy mess when our kids play outside.
