About The Owners
John Curry
Founder
John Curry is the founder of Waterloo Turf Indianapolis, the premier provider of high-quality artificial grass solutions for Indiana homeowners and businesses. With a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a Master’s certificate in Project Management, John brings a rare level of technical precision and ecological awareness to every installation.
A U.S. Marine Corps and Army veteran, John founded Waterloo Turf Indianapolis to help fellow Hoosiers reclaim their weekends. He understands that time spent on painstaking lawn maintenance is time taken away from making memories with friends and family. By combining his rigorous military discipline with advanced project management strategies, John ensures that every Waterloo Turf project is executed on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of durability.
Born in Bloomington, Indiana, John spent his youth on the Maryland coast before returning to his home state in 1999. John re-enlisted with the Army in 2005 and was honorably discharged in 2012. He spent the next 13 years in operations management and logistics, before he transitioned into business ownership with Waterloo Turf. Today, John and his wife, Kelly, live in Indiana, have three sons, and enjoy sharing the outdoor lifestyle he helps create for his fellow Hoosiers.
